About Me
CREATING A MORE TRANSPARENT WORLD.
Welcome to my website!
My name is Ivan Hung and I am 20 years old studying Economics and Finance at the University of East Anglia.
Currently, I am in my second year with a firm belief in growth and progression. I believe that I am a 'clear sponge' as I lack in real world experiences, however, with my ability to pick up new things very quickly, I will be sure to make up my lack of real-practise with this skill.
I have strong aspirations of becoming a consultant and making small changes to create a more dynamic and fair society as I strongly believe that our society needs more transparency in order to strengthen; just like the textbooks say: preventing asymmetric information can alleviate and sometimes even eliminate market failure.
A little bit more about me: I am an enthusiast about behavioural microeconomics as I love how it focuses on the finer details of our economy - the interaction between firms and consumers and the methods (such as nudging & heuristics) used in practice which may change the final decisions made by the agents.
Data science has also recently become an interest of mine as I have delved more into it through my statistics classes: I find it fascinating that numerical data and probabilities can help us to make future predictions more reliable.
